Savanna Dry Zero Cider - But Only In South Africa

Savanna Dry Cider, alcohol version used to be available from Nandos (Oddly in the UK but not is Cape Town) and Sainsbury's but this is no longer available since, I don't know when.

If you are visiting South Africa, Cape Town then this is a good place to find four types: Normal, Low, Angry Lemon and finally Zero. It would appear that Dunell's in Jersey sell these but only in Jersey.

From a non-drinkers point of view the Savanna Dry Zero Cider is amazing, tastes like the real thing but with a slightly lemony flavour. Probably my favourite cider outside the UK. It has a light flavour and very refreshing.

Guinness 0.0 (Zero) the Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

This Guinness 0.0% Zero is my go to drink and is served is nearly every pub I have visited. I have had drinking friends try it and they have said they cannot tell the difference in taste. I even had someone at a 50th party drinking these but could not understand why he wasn't feeling the effects.

The secret to pouring a good Guinness is to make sure it is COLD and then open the can and turn it up-side-down in the glass. Slowly lift the can out keeping it just above the surface of the Guinness in the glass. This is apparently what the reps tell the bar staff to do.

If the can is not COLD enough it will explode from the can as soon as you open it and go everywhere before you get a chance to pour it.

Cans of Guinness zero come in two sizes; 440ml and 520ml (Pint).

Perhaps the New Best Alcohol-Free Cider

I have been very impressed with Thatchers Zero for both price and taste. It is not too sweet and there are normally deals on at most supermarkets. If you like a refreshing proper cider then please give it a go.

I do like a cider when we have hot weather which has been many this year.
